I have to say, I’m enjoying these Zoom meetings. I’ve never done it before this pandemic, and like so many other people, I have taken to interviewing people and having online face-to-face, which normally would have taken place over the phone. But certainly a new dynamic to the usual interviews that I do, and it’s been terrific, I have to say, for the most part. I usually have a very genial conversation, and people get to connect visually, which is a better connection all around. It’s one of those things that I find that I feel is missing; I certainly feel my interviewing techniques and practices and results have been that much better. Perhaps it’s not really what we want to be doing right now, but certainly it’s given me the opportunity to, in some ways, ironically, staying home has helped me broaden my horizons.
